New Special Needs Brochures for The Estate Planning Law Group
The Estate Planning Law Group is excited to announce a new set of informational brochures. These brochures will help us to to better serve the special needs community. Here is a brief summary of the topics discussed:
How to Plan for the Future Care of Your Child with Special Needs: This brochure describes six common mistakes people make when planning for a child with special needs. Two of these are “leaving money to your child in the wrong way” and “not maximizing government benefits.” In addition, a more extensive brochure, the Special Needs Freedom Guide, is explained. Finally, parents learn about how to schedule a one-hour Special Needs Planning Session with an attorney.
Special Needs Trusts: This brochure describes the importance of establishing a Special Needs Trust. In addition, the various types of Special Needs Trusts are defined. It also points out some common mistakes that can be made with Special Needs Trusts.
Access to Services and Government Benefits in Illinois for People with a Disability: This brochure defines PUNS (Prioritization of Urgency of Need for Services).
